LAFD and Fire Commission Recognizes Members of the Human Resources Division
The Los Angeles Fire Department has over 300 non-sworn members that provide professional support that directly corresponds with pursuit of our Department’s mission of saving life and property.
Today, the LAFD along with the Fire Commission proudly honors eight of these members who have made the recent surge of new recruits and the abundance of recent promotions possible. Their dedicated service, diligent efforts, and commitment to the Department have contributed greatly to coordinating the promotional process and hiring efforts between the Fire Department, City Administrative Officer, and Personnel Department.
These eight individuals have a vast set of duties and responsibilities within their perspective position, and execute them daily with pride and dedication. Being recognized today is Valerie Walker, a Senior Administrative Clerk who works in the Sworn Selection Unit and has been with the Department since March 2016. Frank Serrano is a Personnel Analyst II who also works in the Sworn Selection Unit and has been with the Department since July 2016. Nestor Farias, Joanne Perez, Tina Rodriguez, and Christina Velazquez all work within the Records Unit. Lastly, Tashema Russell is the Personnel Records Supervisor who oversees the Records Unit.
The Los Angeles Fire Department commends these valued members and extends our appreciation for your initiative and outstanding support to our sworn and civilian members.
