The Mayor’s Crisis Response Team (CRT) is a volunteer organization committed to providing resources and support to survivors of critical incidents in the City of Los Angeles.
 
The Mayor’s Crisis Response Team: Members of the Mayor’s Crisis Response Team (CRT) are volunteers who respond to traumatic incidents at the request of the Los Angeles Police and Los Angeles Fire Departments. CRT Volunteers provide immediate on-scene crisis intervention and act as a liaison between the victim and emergency personnel. Referrals are also given to victims and their families affected by a death, violent crimes or traumatic incidents. These incidents include homicide, suicide, serious traffic accidents, natural deaths and multi-casualty incidents, officer involved shootings and other major incidents.

Can you commit to volunteering 36 on-call hours per month? 

APPLICATION & TRAINING:  Those interested in volunteering are required to complete an application and attend an interview session. The six-week training program for the Mayor’s Crisis Response Team provides volunteers with knowledge and hands on training to help CRT volunteers respond to critical incidents. 

CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
 When: Tuesday & Thursday for 3 hours (6:00pm-9:00pm). Three Saturdays for 8 hours.
Where: LAPD Academy at Elysian Park 
Dates: April 2nd, 2020 – May 22nd, 2022 Application Deadline: February 28th, 2019
